Product Overview

MoS2 is a typical transition metal disulfide with a two-dimensional layered structure similar to graphene. MoS2 has three crystal structures: 1T type, 2H type, and 3R type. Among them, 1T type and 3R type are metastable phases, and 2H type is stable phase. Macroscopic MoS2 materials mostly exist in 2H type and have a unique sandwich structure, belonging to the hexagonal crystal system.

The synthesis methods of MoS2 are mainly divided into two categories: "top-down" exfoliation method and "bottom-up" exfoliation method. The "top-down" exfoliation method includes micro mechanical exfoliation, liquid-phase exfoliation, and lithium-ion intercalation, mainly using physical means to exfoliate bulk MoS2 into single-layer or few layer layered structures. The "bottom-up" exfoliation method includes chemical vapor deposition, hydrothermal method, and high-temperature thermal decomposition method, mainly using chemical means to grow atoms and molecules into nanoscale thin films and granular MoS2 under certain environmental conditions.

The single-layer quantum dots of molybdenum disulfide provided by Xianfeng are prepared by lithium intercalation method, and large areas of molybdenum disulfide are removed by centrifugation in the later stage. Quantum dots are the main component, and some nanosheets may remain. Quantum dots prepared by intercalation method do not emit light, but due to their numerous defects and specific surface area, they are ideal materials for electrochemical applications.

Product Features

Quantum confinement effect: Due to its extremely small size, the motion of electrons and holes is restricted, resulting in energy state separation and unique optical and electrical properties.

Good electrical performance: high carrier mobility, suitable for manufacturing high-performance electronic devices.

Good biocompatibility: When applied in the biomedical field, it has relatively low toxicity to organisms, which is beneficial for biological labeling and imaging.

High chemical activity: Rich surface active sites, easy to carry out chemical modification and functionalization.

Application Fields

Optoelectronic devices: Molybdenum disulfide quantum dots can be used to prepare optoelectronic devices such as photovoltaic cells, photodetectors, and LEDs. Their excellent optical and electrical properties make these devices more efficient and have a wider range of applications.

Catalyst: Molybdenum disulfide quantum dots can be used as catalysts or catalyst carriers in reactions such as hydrogen production, carbon dioxide reduction, and pollutant degradation.

Sensor: Molybdenum disulfide quantum dots can be used as sensitive components for sensors to detect gases, ions, and molecules in the environment. Its high sensitivity and selectivity make it potentially valuable in fields such as environmental monitoring and biomedical detection.

Biomedical applications: Molybdenum disulfide quantum dots have good biocompatibility and can be used in fields such as biomedical imaging, drug delivery, and biosensors.

Exciting and fast paced
Format: Kindle
Loved the stories within stories flashbacks. It all ties in nicely in the end and leaves a cool cliffhanger. The art is fantastic and so is the sifting in of beloved Star Wars characters from the past. Good storyline to follow!

Great way to add even more depth to Black Spire Outpost
Format: Paperback
Having just visited Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, I really enjoyed learning more layers of depth and stories from there with this collection of comics. Having read "A Crash of Fate" and "Black Spire" was a great way to do that as well, but this was obviously a quicker read, and also spanned many different times and with some different characters, too. Great for readers with shorter attention spans, too! Recommended!

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction. This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world. There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind. I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.

Good point of entry into Star Wars comics
Format: Paperback
I love Star Wars and have been enjoying seeing the expanded universe. Honestly, sometimes the focus on Jedis and Siths is a bit of a distraction from understanding what life would be like in that galaxy.
